Join us at the 4th annual UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant Oyster Roast for a Reason on November 17!  We’re a proud sponsor of this fundraising event supporting Georgia’s first oyster hatchery.

We’ll hope to see you there on Sunday, November 17, from 2-6 p.m. on the bluff next to the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium.

Come hungry! In addition to the opportunity to dig into plenty of locally harvested Georgia grown oysters, there will be delicious BBQ and plenty of cold beer, along with live music by Chameleon Brotherhood.

Tickets are $75 each and will be available to purchase in early September. After October 17, tickets will increase to $100 each. Friends of the UGA Aquarium will have the opportunity to purchase tickets starting August 19.

Plus, you can buy some really cool art! A limited number of prints by artist Alan J. Campbell of John “Crawfish” Crawford roasting oysters at a previous Oyster Roast for a Reason event will be sold online, and at the event if any remain.
