Some last minute specials and notifications for Mother’s Day weekend as well a glimpse at next week’s outlook.

Grouper remains very tight but we do have a lot of Lake Pontchartrain Drum that is absolutely stunning.

Wild King Salmon is sold out and we will not have any more for this weekend but we do have a new shipment of both Scottish Salmon and west coast Alaskan Halibut.  We will have more Kings by the Middle of next week.

We are getting some expensive Mahi as well as a little of Gulf Red Snapper today. Prices are up there and will stay high through next week; we believe.


Atlantic Salmon looks to be in good supply. We are limited on big fish so if you need a large whole fish, call as soon as possible. We should see prices fall by the end of next week, we hope.

One thing we received that we were not expecting was a huge shipment of Swordfish! Extraordinary quality and we are dropping the price again for next week. This will make a great grilled Mother’s Day special as well as a go-to fish for next week.


We have a good supply of Tuna that has arrived. We have both Itsumo Sushi-Grade Breadloafs as well as nice quality Yellowfins.

Next week looks to be a little bit better, we hope, for supply of Domestic Grouper, Snapper and other Gulf/South Atlantic species because have had time to return from their first post Easter trip and the Carolinas opened for off shore fishing after being closed since the first of the year.

The great news is that we are starting to see some Soft Shell Crabs. The price is down a little bit and the quality is superb! We have limited amounts in for this weekend so call early to reserve yours.

Next week looks like the deluge of soft shells will hit. Indications are that prices will be way down especially since the demand caused by Mother’s Day will be over. We will have plenty of Jumbo’s and some Whales. In addition, we will be offering dressed Jumbos in 2 dozen boxes on a pre-order basis.

From Cameron, LA, the shrimpers who sent us the beautiful Blue Whites Head-on 16/20 Shrimp, came in yesterday with another load and we have approximately 600-700 lbs; but it is sure to go fast. Call to reserve yours. In addition, we expect to have a few pounds of 26/30 Headless Shrimp from the same folks. They are extraordinarily beautiful shrimp!

People are going crazy for our Ultra Dry Viking Scallops. We received a new shipment this morning. They are eating like sugar!

We also have a good inventory of Ocean’s Alive and Seatrade Scallops that are dry and a good value.

We have a good supply of Lobsters on hand. Our last shipment arrived last night. We should have enough, but order soon to ensure your supply. First come first served. These lobsters have good hard shells and will be great for Sunday. Big ones, 2lbs and up, are fairly scarce and need to be ordered right away.


We still have decent inventories of Painted Hills Tenderloins that we are running on special this week, as well as a few cases of their Bone-in Prime Rib. Also, we just received a new shipment of Hanger Steaks, as well as, some Painted Hills Boneless Short Ribs.

All the other specials from the beginning of the week are still running as well!

Don’t forget the great value and quality of our 100% Certified Berkshire Black Forest Hams from Eden Farms. We are down to our last 3 cases, so reserve yours right away.

We have a good supply of Duck Magret Breast. Foie Gras is selling out rapidly. We have Whole Jurgielewicz Duck and single serving Pekin breasts on hand but we are selling out of the breasts quickly.
