Market Report

April 8, 2011

The market on most species remains relatively unchanged from the earlier part of the week.

Swordfish will be very scarce going into the full moon.

Wild Striped Bass is very tight and looks like it will remain that way for the near future.

Prices on Grouper will be coming down for the beginning of the week and Baja Redfish from the Southwest Coast still remains plentiful.

With the bad weather, Alaskan Halibut is very hard to get and prices are reflecting it.

Farm Raised Salmon from both Scotland and Canada are stable.

Beef, Pork and other land proteins are increasing in price because of the inflated cost of corn.

The Lamb market is also high due to the feed cost and the upcoming Easter Holiday. Place orders early to ensure delivery.
